ViroQ SARS-Cov-2 for the rapid detection of COVID 19.

Technical Information

The ViroQ SARS-CoV-2 Kit from BAG Diagnostics GmbH, is designed for the specific detection of viral RNA Gene E and RdRP of SARS-CoV-2 in respiratory samples. In this new test the RNA is converted from SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) to cDNA in a one-step PCR procedure. The cDNA is then amplified in the same real-time PCR protocol.

Test Principle

A simple four step process, from respiratory sample to test result in under 3 hours.

Multiplex-PCR with 3 Colours

The test is compatible with most common thermalcyclers, validated on CFX 96 (Bio-Rad), QuantStudio 6 (Thermo Fisher), Lightcycler 480 II (Roche).

Sample Quality Control

False negative results, due to samples with too little cell material, are excluded by this test. The detection of a gene that occurs universally in cells in ViroQ SARS-CoV-2 tests checks whether sufficient cell material is available for valid results.

RNA Isolation 

This kit allows you to remain independent from specific providers - ViroQ SARS-CoV-2 works with common RNA-Isolation kits.
